Kingsnake Records is a record label that produces limited-edition vinyl singles (7") of instrumental music.
To design its logo we had to capture this whole collector’s universe, but also try to set it apart from other similar labels featuring the esthetics of surfers and the 50s. We looked into the film language of the 30s, and based on the label’s name that includes de concept of "king", we decided to pay tribute to the well-known typography of King Kong, the film directed by Merian C. Cooper and Ernest B. Schoedsack in 1933.
