Penniman Records edited the first legal edition of Peanut Duck, mythical song by Marsha Gee, a mysterious, little known artist of the mid-60s. The song was not released back then because, rumor has it –and some crazy interpretations confirm-, she was drunk when she recorded it in some Philadelphia studio.

Since the singer is unknown, we had to use the photograph of a suggestive model in a playful attitude for our cover illustration.
The edition was a great success in the Soul music DJ environment, which until then had only been able to enjoy bootleg editions as it was never previously legally issued.
